Set at the foot of Mount Etna,  Catania boasts beautiful Baroque architecture, ancient ruins and  bustling markets.

Palermo, the capital of Sicily, is renowned for its proud history and wondrous architecture. Top attractions and landmarks in Palermo include the Palermo Cathedral, the Gesu Church, the Piazza Pretoria and the Museo Archeologico.

Another great city worth a visit is Syracuse. Syracuse plays host to a number  of great attractions including the Apollo Temple, Neapolis, the Teatro  Greco and Old Town.

Other fascinating cities in Sicily include  Messina, Marsala and Ragusa, which boasts some of the finest Baroque-era architecture in the world.

Outside of its main cities, Sicily is  home to many natural wonders. One of the top attractions on the island  is the soaring Mount Etna. A hike up this majestic mountain will reward  visitors with stunning vistas and unmatched views of the island.

 

Madonie National Park, located in central Sicily, provides visitors with a  relaxation and a chance to escape the bustle of major cities like  Palermo and Catania.

Sicily is home to many top notch beaches and islands as well. San Vito lo Capo is known for its natural beauty and incredible seaside views, while a  visit to the Marina di Ragusa beach rewards visitors with pristine water and miles of beautiful golden sand.

Other must-see attractions in Sicily include the gorgeous Aeolian Islands, the fascinating Ancient  Greek ruins of Segesta and the charming resort town of Taormina.
