The country is bordered by its neighbors, Austria, Croatia, and Hungary. Although it only has an area measuring 20,273 square kilometers, Slovenia offers natural scenery, culture, and history in one amazing package. The climate reflects the country’s uniqueness. Consistent Mediterranean temperatures can be experienced in the coastlines, the climate changes from warm to cold in the plains, while higher locations experience extremely cold mountain temperatures.

The Karst Region is the location of another interesting cave system, Postojna, which is one of the longest in the world. Piran is a beautiful coastal town that has retained elements of its historic past as part of the Venetian Empire from the 13th to the 18th century.

Aside from the guided tours to the most interesting attractions in the city, there are other activities that can be organized for visitors who are looking for a unique Slovenian experience. The country is home to the Julian Alps and Mt. Triglav, where hiking, biking, kayaking, and other adrenaline pumping activities can be booked. During the winter season, skiing enthusiasts trek to the Julian Alps and other popular skiing destinations like Krvavec, Vogel, and Rogla.

Visitors will find a number of options in terms of restaurants, ranging from casual street food to fine dining. Cafes are a common sight in the city, where you can find locals sipping a cup of strong Turkish brew while conversing with friends. The food and drink in Slovenia is as much an adventure as traveling through the beautiful countryside.
